Hadiza Gabon, a popular Kannywood actress, has denied knowing the 48-year-old man who sued her after spending N396,000 on her and refusing to marry him.

Bala Musa, a civil servant, told a Sharia court in Kaduna that he had been dating the actress for some time and that she had pledged to marry him.

He claims that he doesn’t hesitate to send her money whenever she asks for it, and that he has already spent N396k on her.

Bala also claimed that he invited her to his home in Gusau, Zamfara, but she failed to show up despite all of his preparations.

Hadiza Gabon disputes the allegations.

The actress, however, testified in court on Tuesday, June 14, that she had never met the man and had no relationship with him.

Her lawyer, Barrister Mubarak Sani Jibril, spoke on her behalf and stated that the actress has refuted all of the charges.

“After hearing his charges, she responded with her own statement, claiming that she had never met him and had no knowledge of what had occurred. We don’t know anything about it; we have no business with it; we’ve heard of him; we’ll let the court decide.” He met her on a Facebook page apparently maintained by her. Mubarak stated the following.

Bala had met the actress on Facebook and had been speaking with her on the social media network, it was also established.

“They met on Facebook, became friends, and the lady pledged to marry him, so he began lavishing her with money.” Bala’s legal representative stated, “She denied knowing him, but we have told the court that we would bring witnesses on it.”

The actress was then granted bail with the condition that she furnish two reliable sureties who live in the state, and the case was postponed until June 28th.
