Lil Kesh Biography and Career

Lil Kesh began his musical career in 2012, when he began rapping with his Bariga colleagues. He followed up with the release of his debut single, Lyrically. The song quickly became popular in Nigerian universities.

Following that, he obtained a contract with a record label known as Yahoo Boy No Laptop Nation, or YBNL Nation. Olamide, a Nigerian rapper, created YBNL, an independent record label, in 2012.

Lil Kesh signed to this company and published his debut studio album, YAGI, which included smash singles like Shoki, Gbese, Efejoku, Last Card, and others.

Following that, in 2014, he released the smash single Shoki. Shoki reached the top of various music charts, catapulting the renowned musician into the spotlight. He was nominated for multiple accolades as a result of this musical production, but only won two.

Lil Kesh was nominated for the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards for Best New Act. After his contract with YBNL expired in 2016, he founded his own record label, YAGI Records (an acronym for Young And Getting It).

Massive Management Team, a marketing and event management firm, is in charge of the label.

Lil Kesh’s debut studio album, Young And Getting It (Y.A.G.I), was released on March 17th, 2016 on YBNL Nation. Young John produced the song, which featured Ycee, Phyno, Wale, Adekunle Gold, Patoranking, Viktoh, Olamide, Davido, and Chinko Ekun on Pheelz Vocals. It’s a mix of hip hop and rap music.

Lyrically, Efejoku, Is it because I love You, and Ibile are the four singles included.
