De General, an Instagram comic, went live earlier today on his Instagram account to describe how NDLEA operatives entered his home in the middle of the night to search it.
The NDLEA has confirmed that the skit maker, as well as three others, were arrested in the Lagos operation, according to a brief update.
Please see the following statement:
Agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, detained a skit maker, Sunday Joshua, well known on social media as De-General, in the early hours of today, Wednesday 12th January, during a search of a notorious drug joint in Orchid Estate, Lekki zone of Lagos state.
On the basis of credible information, narcotics officers raided a drug house in the estate, detaining three people in possession of illegal drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5 kilograms of cannabis sativa. Several people, including the suspected dealer, left with bags holding exhibits during the investigation.
According to the trail, they ended up at 2B Saula Akinlolu Way, Orchid Estate, the residence of 22-year-old Sunday Joshua (aka De General).
To avoid being found, the young men began making noise. The operatives identified themselves as NDLEA agents and agreed to a search before entering. This was finished, and a search was conducted.
Drug exhibits were uncovered during the search, including cannabis sativa, Tramadol 225mg, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect had requested that the search be videotaped, which the officers agreed to out of courtesy.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, the suspect and his pals decided to obstruct the search of the house. In his in-custody confession, the suspect admitted to owning the drugs found at his residence.
