He was born in Port Harcourt on May 19, 1997. He grew up on a Marine base and is no stranger to the harsh life of PH city. When he was a teenager, he put on a creative hat. He adopted the moniker Lil King in the hopes of being the next prominent rapper, and he would entertain his neighbors with freestyle rap songs.

After becoming dissatisfied with rap music, he decided to pursue a career in music production and began shadowing some of his friends who were producers. He learned the talent and became a pro in the game in just a few months. He began collaborating with up-and-coming musicians in Port Harcourt to make good music.

He lured his heart back to the swinger lifestyle, so he decided to give it another attempt. He sat down to write the songs Do Not Disturb and Hello Brother, which he recorded and distributed to the world, believing that he had the creative bug.

It occurred in 2019, and by this point, to rebranded and settled on the stage name Omah Lay.
