Early this morning, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi was on the radio with Oseni Rufai, and throughout the hour-long discussion, a Northerner called in to question the former Anambra governor why he has never criticized IPOB’s activities, instead attempting to excuse them.

In response, Peter Obi stated that whomever says so is lying, and that he has always stated that he has witnessed deaths in the east, and that one cannot kill or do wrong things due of agitation because it is wrong and criminal, which is why he opposes it at all times.

Peter Obi went on to say that agitating and killing people is unacceptable, but that when people talk about agitation, it’s a different story because they can deal with it through dialogue, and that if Peter Obi were President today, he would engage in dialogue with all agitators because it’s a democratic society, but that he would not engage in dialogue with a criminal. If they murder or abduct, they will be dealt with decisively, as he did when he was governor of Anambra, where he met with those who needed to be met and dealt with those who needed to be dealt with.
