Ruger, a Jonzing World artist, fantastic Nigerian singer, and songwriter, has released his long-awaited album “The Second Wave EP.”
Ruger sprang to prominence on January 18, 2021, when D’Prince, Rema, and Don Jazzy used social media to announce Ruger’s record deal and welcome him to the Jonzing World label.
His social media following soared shortly after the announcement, as fans speculated about what he had in store for them and whether he would grow to be as popular as, if not greater than, Rema, who was signed two years ago.
On January 20, 2021, Ruger made his first appearance on the label’s single ‘One Shirt,’ which included D’Prince, Rema, and Ruger.
Ruger’s first music project, ‘Pandemic,’ a six-track EP, was released following the release of One Shirt. The single ‘Bounce’ from the EP was a hit record that stayed at the top of various Nigerian music charts at the time of release and was among the Top 100 songs on Apple Music Nigeria for weeks.
The new EP is a follow-up to his “Pandemic EP,” featuring four fantastic tracks with no guest appearances.
Even though “The Second Wave” comprises four well-crafted tunes, it lacks the same number of features as the previous effort.
